Godoy Residence is amazing glass and concrete modern home designed by Hernandez Silva Arquitectos in Guadalajara, a capital city of Jalisco state in Mexico. The house is real treat for modern architecture lovers. Take a look.
With ratio of glass and concrete slightly higher than we usually see on modern homes, street facade on Godoy Residence says "I want to be open, but not too much." At least that's how I see it. According to architects, reason why they used more glass on usually closed street facade is to catch as much of daylight as possible since this side doesn't catch much of the sun.
Rear elevation or backyard facade is one completely different story. The most interesting part is without doubt this impressive cantilever with the first floor above and open terrace below it which can easily be turned into indoor terrace. We've seen this before in FF House also designed by Hernandez Silva Arquitectos. Inside the house I would definitely pay attention on amazing glass wall in the bedroom which creates minimalist and modern atmosphere. For someone who loves this kind of stuff, perfect.
